Some people are so passionate about achieving their dreams and goals that they move in a certain direction and then give up immediately when they hit a setback. And more often than not, something wonderful was about to happen, but they didn't stick with it.
Some dreamers rarely realize that what seems like a sure thing to fail may just be a "detour." You've taken a detour from your dream path into unfamiliar territory. Unexpected turning points can throw you off course, unless you have an exceptional ability to stay calm and immediately adapt to a new situation. When you hit a detour, the first thing you need to realize is that your windshield is bigger than your rearview mirror. You can't go back on the old road, because that road is finished. Dwelling on the past is no good. Order yourself to "look ahead"!
There's a rock-hard rule that says detours will help you when you're going through life's rough terrain. This is a sentence you should write down and post it where you can see it most easily every day until it becomes a part of your life, for it will become your strong ally. It will give you strength and maintain your balance when you hit a detour. Look at uncertainty as a friendly thing that will ultimately serve you well. Detours do not last forever, nor are they the road to destiny. Detours are inevitable, but it is also a short side road.
